Stewart and screenwriter-actress Meyer began dating in 2019, but the star has said that the two first met several years before their romantic relationship began.
In a November 2019 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she remarked that she and Meyer began dating after reconnecting at a mutual friend's birthday party six years after meeting on a movie set.
Two years after that, Stewart confirmed that she and Meyer were engaged, with a source recently telling PEOPLE that the couple is "totally in love."
“She has been happy in her committed relationship and engaged for quite some time,” the source said of Stewart, adding, "She loves being at home doing domestic things.”
“Kids are a natural progression for her,” the source added of Stewart and Meyer's plans to have children. “She is young and has plenty of time to plan for this."
In a recent profile with Rolling Stone, Kristen shared that she and Meyer have discussed having children together, with the former Twilight star saying she "really want[s] that to happen."
"I’m not scared of being pregnant. I’m not scared of having a kid,” she shared with the outlet. “But I’m so f------ scared of childbirth, it’s crazy."
