Kristin Davis Goes Makeup-Free with 'Fluffy Safari Hair' in Kenya Days After Glam Paris Fashion Week Appearance
Davis asked her Instagram followers if they preferred her high-fashion look or the more au naturel air-dried style
Kristin Davis likes her hair on the wild side!
Kristin Davis has been spending time in Kenya on safari, and during her trip, the Sex and the City star, 58, shared a photo of the air-dried style she’s embracing while she's there.
In the photo, she shares her makeup-free look and voluminous curls.
“The return of the Kenyan hair. IYKYK. Which do you like better? Sleek fashion show hair or fluffy Safari hair?” she wrote alongside the picture.
By “sleek fashion show hair,” she’s referring to the chic waves she wore with her monochromatic yellow outfit to the Jacquemus runway show in Nice, France just days before traveling to east Africa.
Fans showed Davis’ barefaced beauty all the love, with one writing “I’m loving the Safari Kristin."
Davis didn’t reveal why she was visiting Kenya, but she often visits as a patron of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to help protect the country’s animals.
Back in 2009, Davis found an abandoned elephant calf during a safari trip in Chyulu. Deciding not to leave the baby animal behind to be found by poachers, Davis and a staff member transported the animal (later named Chaimu) to an elephant orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya.
According to the organization’s website, the actress has been vocal about the trust and its mission to help rescue orphaned elephants and other wildlife.
Davis's beautiful, barefaced selfie was posted months after she opened up about her appearance and aging, especially when it comes to Botox and fillers; she said she has gotten both, but later dissolved them. She spoke out about the pressure women feel to try to maintain a certain appearance, particularly in her industry.
"I think part of the reason that people are not more open [about having cosmetic procedures] is because there is such shaming put on you largely by other women," the And Just Like That... star told Entertainment Tonight. "It's so sad. We have enough problems as it is. We don't need to shame each other. Like, it's so much a waste of time, but it does hurt."
She said she has come to accept that "you can't not age."
"The only way you cannot age is to not be alive, which is not something that I want to happen, obviously," Davis added. "So, I just have to have these talks with myself and try to relax and sometimes I just have to get out of my own head and take a walk."
