KY 140 resurfacing project to begin on Tuesday

A contractor hired by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin a repaving project on KY 140 in Daviess County on Tuesday, April 30. Work is expected to last around 15 days.

The highway will be receiving a new coat of asphalt between Nalley Road at the 6.2 mile marker and the intersection of US Highway 231 at the 10 mile marker.

Signage will be placed beginning on Tuesday. Then contractors will begin the process of addressing base issues, milling edges and working on the shoulders of the roadway. Paving should begin around Friday, May 10, depending on delays for weather events.

Travelers should be prepared for traffic delays and lane closures. Flaggers will be directing traffic through the work zone. Please exercise caution for equipment, flaggers and personnel during the project.
