Labour pledge to abolish 'non-dom' tax status if elected

Shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves promises to abolish the non-dom tax status if Labour are elected, saying the scheme is based on rules "set up 200 years ago" and is not "justifiable" at a time where taxes are rising for many. She says the changes would bring the UK "in line" with major competitors like Germany and Japan and adds that it is "essential" that the UK cracks down on tax loopholes.
