Labour's Samantha Dixon elected MP for Chester North and Neston
Labour has swept to victory in Chester North and Neston. Samantha Dixon wins the new seat having been elected to represent the former City of Chester constituency in a 2022 by-election.
Ms Dixon won that election by 10,974 votes. Labour activists were confident of winning the seat throughout the night and Ms Dixon secured it with a majority of 11,863.
The results are as follows:
Samantha Dixon (Labour): 22,258
Simon James Vernon Eardley (Conservative): 10,388
Sean William Nicholas Goulding (Reform UK): 5,870
Nick Brown (Green Party): 4,102
Steve Gribbon (Liberal Democrats): 2,076
