Labrador Rescued From Cliff Edge in San Francisco

A Labrador was rescued from a cliff in San Francisco’s Golden Gate National Recreation Area on March 5, with firefighters warning people not to attempt to help their four-legged friends if they do get stranded, instead telling them to call 911.

The San Francisco Fire Department said the dog was rescued at Fort Funston, which the Parks Conservancy describes as having “200-foot-high sandy bluffs … where the winds blow reliably wildly.”

In a post on Twitter, fire officials said: “If your partner does go off a cliff, do not try to rescue yourself; call 911.”
