While she has previously pledged her support for Hilary Clinton, the pop star was not entertaining the idea of talking about her opposition.

Quizzed about the Republican candidate, Gaga fell silent until saying that she wouldn’t be talking about Trump during the interview with Charlie Staiyt.

“I have nothing to say of him,” she icily stated.

But Stayt remained insistent that the topic be covered, saying to her: “He claims he represents people who have been unrepresented, who haven’t had a voice.”

After careful consideration of the question, the singer replied:

“I think what is most important is for us to try to decipher now what is real and what is not. And what is honest and what is dishonest and be accepting of those things and not operating from fear.”

The interviewer then pressed the issue further, saying: “I’m intrigued you literally won’t say anything about him, you have endorsed Hilary Clinton - what is it you think she’s going to do for the USA that he will not?”

After one huge pause during which it appeared she wasn’t going to answer at all, Lady Gaga eventually said:

“I think she will do a good job. Some people want to win [pauses] races. Other people want to be president of the united states and change people’s lives. It’s about the intention.”

Viewers have called the interview ‘one of the most awkward things ever’ however praised Charlie Staiyt for his professionalism.
