This is the dramatic moment a Lamborghini supercar burst into flames following a crash with another vehicle on a motorway.

The M62 was shut for more than six hours near Brighouse, West Yorkshire, on Monday after the Lamborghini Aventador, thought to be worth £270,000, was involved in a collision with a Mazda CX-5.

Two people who were travelling in the Lamborghini were taken to hospital after the crash between junctions 25 and 24 on the westbound carriageway at about 5pm.

The incident led to a large emergency response, with West Yorkshire Police, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Yorkshire Ambulance Service all attending the scene.

National Highways England confirmed a serious crash had forced the road to close.
