A crash that left a Lamborghini smashed up after its driver swerved to avoid a deer led cops to quip – ‘Bambi 1 Lambo 0.’

The £270,000 supercar was badly damaged in the crash on the A30 dual carriageway and had to be hauled away on a trailer.

Sharing news on the Alliance ARV Twitter account, officers from Devon and Cornwall Police said the crash happened after the driver took evasive action.

They wrote: “Oh Deer… Bambi 1 Lambo 0.

“Avoiding action means that Bambi lives to fight another day. Expect the unexpected folks. Luckily no injuries from this one.”

The crash happened shortly after 8amon Tuesday near Launceston, Cornwall

The westbound road was partially blocked and one lane was closed to clear debris from the road.

A police spokesman added: “A Lamborghini had collided with the central reservation and has come to a halt facing the wrong way in the second lane.

“The driver was uninjured. There will be some disruption in the area as clear-up and recovery takes place.”
