Yahoo News Lancashire B&B named England's Inn of the Year in prestigious awards
A B&B in Lancashire has been named the Inn of the Year in England in a prestigious award ceremony.
The Cartford Inn, Little Eccleston was given the accolade at the 28th AA B&B Awards 2024. It saw a team of experts inspect the best bed and breakfast spots across England, Scotland and Wales to give out awards based on the very best in the industry.
Experts decide winners based on individuality, standard of housekeeping and the all-important breakfast - as well as levels of hospitality and attentive service. Categories within the awards include Inn of the Year, for which The Cartford Inn was named in England, as well as Bed and Breakfast of the Year and Restaurant with Rooms of the Year.

The Cartford Inn has 17 rooms in total, with one family bedroom and three bedrooms on the ground floor. it is a multi award winning country inn, with a restaurant and boutique hotel, boasting enviable views of the River Wyre, the surrounding Fylde countryside and Bowland fells.
Talking about the inn and giving reasons as to why it was named the best in England, AA inspectors said: "The family-run, 17th-century Cartford Inn enjoys extensive views towards the Lake District and offers stylish and chic accommodation together with award-winning food. Some bedrooms have Juliet balconies with views of the river.
"Eating on the terrace is possible in warmer weather and a private function room is available for small parties. There’s also their own branded on-site TOTI Deli and designer home store."
