Landlord Discovers 50 Stone PIG Living In House He Rented Out

A landlord is facing a bill of thousands of pounds after he discovered a pig weighing 50 STONE living in his rented property.

Dr Gary Armstrong thought he was letting his three-bedroomed bungalow to an RAF serviceman last November - but he didn’t count on the giant porker living inside the house as well.

In fact, the GP had slapped a ban on any pets in the property but when he went back to visit the property last month he discovered the huge black pig in the property.

Dr Armstrong revealed: “To my surprise on an inspection I found a 50 stone, fully grown black pig living inside the house.

"The whole thing started to come together as the state of the house and garden were not consistent with a dog.

"On a previous inspection we had been kept out of one room where I suspect the pig was hiding.

"The house is in a shocking state. On a personal note, its so upsetting to see a much loved family home ruined.”

The pig’s size left Dr Armstrong in “shock”.

The 36-year-old added: "I mean it was huge - it had tusks.”

A “large dog” had been reported by a builder who was hired to carry out work on the property and a dog was later found on the property.

The unnamed tenant was told to remove it but the pig was found when Dr Anderson dropped in last month.

The cosy bungalow, that has a garden and is situated in a residential part of Gainsborough, Lincs, and was advertised on property site Zoopla as an "immaculate modern detached bungalow with double glazing and central heating, lounge, dining room, spacious kitchen/diner leading to a large conservatory, 3 bedrooms and bathroom”.

However, the condition of the £175,000 property is no longer desirable and Dr Armstrong thinks that the Vietnamese pot bellied pig - that was owned by the tenants partner - has caused damage of up to £7,500.

Dr Anderson explained: "We had an estimate of £7,500 to cover the damage - that’s for cleaning, repairs, new floor covering, returfing the garden and repairing the patio.

"Just before the house was to be let, my father put in new carpets, there was a brand new £1,000 carpet in the lounge and that has been totally ruined.

"As you can imagine, a pig living in the house equals a lot of dirt, the walls are filthy.

"The house absolutely stinks and is full of long pig hairs. The garden is a state.”

The tenant has since left the property.
