Large Fire Breaks Out in Qatar Near World Cup Fan Village

A fire broke out in the city of Lusail in Qatar, according to authorities, with thick plumes of black smoke rising into the sky near one of the World Cup fan villages, on Saturday, November 26.

Footage shows thick black smoke rising from a building at Qetaifan Island North, part of Lusail city, as sirens can be heard.

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior said the fire is under control and no casualties have been reported.
