Las Vegas Sphere Puts on Vibrant Earth Day Show

The Sphere in Las Vegas put on an elaborate and colorful display on Monday, April 22, to celebrate Earth Day.

Video captured by Vicki Paulson shows the outside of the venue lit up with the colorful 11-minute show, which contained visual creations from Grateful Dead percussionist Mickey Hart and filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg.

The show included visuals of different earthscapes in action, including flowers blooming, mushrooms growing, and butterflies flapping their wings. Hart’s piece “explores the deeper connections between music, art, and the cosmos,” while Schwartzberg’s contributions “explore the foundations of life and making the invisible visible,” according to the Sphere.
