Laura Linney is addressing the shocking moment she saw a man get assaulted during New York Fashion Week.

The incident occurred on Friday outside the Christian Siriano 15th anniversary show at the Pierre Hotel in New York City, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Making her first red-carpet appearance since the altercation at the Wildcat premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival on Monday, Linney, 59, exclusively told PEOPLE, “You know, it was an unfortunate thing that happened, and I'm just glad that no one was severely hurt.”

As seen in a video posted by TikTok user @mickmicknyc, the Ozark star was waiting for her car following the show when she was approached by a fan who appeared to want an autograph.

The fan appeared to nudge Linney with a pen to get her attention for her signature, but a man standing next to the actress held out his arm and stopped him from getting too close.

The fan then pushed the arm of the man, who said, “Hey, hey, hey, hey! No, we don’t do that.” Just a few seconds later, the fan then punched the man in the back of the head as he walked away.

A shocked Linney could be seen placing her hand on the man’s shoulder directly following the incident and asking him, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine,” he replied with a smile before escorting the actress to her car. According to ET, the man was a Fashion Week team member.

Linney was joined at the Siriano show by the likes of Janet Jackson, Avril Lavigne, Alicia Silverstone, Rosie Perez and Kesha, who all took their places in the front row.

The Love Actually star sported a black dress featuring long, ruffled sleeves for her appearance, teaming the look with a pair of strappy black heels.

Linney is a huge fan of the designer and wore one of his creations to last year’s Emmy Awards, walking the red carpet in a tiered white gown with black detailing.

The actress told ET at the show on Friday that Siriano, 37, is "a warm, inviting man who has his priorities in the right place."

"He looks at each person truly individually and designs for them," she explained. "When he dresses me, there's such care that's taken and he knows kind of exactly what to put me in. So it's a real privilege and a pleasure to know him."
