Lauren Goodman breaks silence on ex Mark Wright's baby joy and says 'so happy'

Reality TV star Lauren Goodger has spoken out about her ex Mark Wright's baby news with wife Michelle Keegan. Michelle, 37, and Mark, also 37, announced their pregnancy in a joint post just after Christmas, saying that this year is "going to be a special one" for them as they shared a photo of Michelle's baby bump.

Reports had suggested that Mark's ex-fiancée Lauren, 38, who had a decade-long relationship with the radio host before they split in 2012, was 'devastated' by the news. But Lauren, who is a mum herself, has blasted the claims in a new interview.

She told Closer magazine she is "happy" for Mark. She said: "I'm not anxious, upset, or planning to leave Essex, and it didn't ruin my Christmas!"

While acknowledging that fans may always be intrigued due to their shared TV history on The Only Way Is Essex, she questioned why she would be "devastated" by the news, adding: "I'm so happy he's going to be a dad, I mean it." She added:"It doesn't affect my life whether Mark is having a baby, I'm not obsessed with him, my life will carry on."

She underscored that the only reason she's addressing the topic is due to "all the s***" directed at her lately. In 2021, Lauren welcomed her daughter Larose and tragically, in 2022, experienced the loss of her second daughter Lorena shortly after birth.

She also mentioned receiving messages from family and friends checking on her well-being following Mark and Michelle Keegan's recent baby announcement. Addressing these concerns, Lauren declared she holds no bad feelings towards Mark and wishes his family well.

Mark and actress Michelle, who are nearing their tenth wedding anniversary, delighted their followers on Instagram last month with a pregnancy reveal. Their shared post included a charming photo showing Michelle's growing baby bump, as they stood together on a beach.

The joyful update garnered a wave of congratulations from both fans and fellow celebrities alike on social media.
