Laurence Fox reveals just how costly his 2016 divorce from Billie Piper was
Laurence Fox has called his financially crippling 2016 divorce from wife Billie Piper “hor-rend-dous,” and admitted he misses the ‘large bank account’ they shared.
In an interview with The Times, Laurence, best known for his previous role on Inspector Morse spinoff Lewis and being part of the Fox acting dynasty, said he used “time, forgiveness and compassion” to survive the split.
He shares two sons with ex-wife Billie: Winston, 10, and Eugene, six.

Laurence, who is single after splitting from TV presenter Lilah Parsons in last year, announced his split from Billie in March 2016, after eight years of marriage.
In May that year, the couple was granted a quickie divorce in 50 seconds on the grounds the marriage had irretrievably broken down.
Laurence admits, though, that the financial burden was “horrendous” after spending money on lawyers to get to an agreement.

Laurence added: “It was quite a drastic life change. Goodbye, money! Goodbye, wife! Argh! But that which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, doesn’t it? Obviously, you miss the large bank account but that’s not everything.”
Back at the start of their marriage, Laurence had sweetly said that meeting Billie was love at first sight. He told the Mirror in 2010: “Yes. It absolutely happened when I met Bill. We were in a rehearsal room and I knew there and then she was the one for me.”
Ex-Doctor Who actress Piper and her boyfriend Johnny Lloyd, former frontman of indie band Tribes, welcomed their first child together earlier this year, a daughter named Tallulah.
