Yahoo News Law & Order: OC Is Shaking Stabler’s Family Tree (And We’re Suddenly Very Excited for Season 4) (Exclusive)
Law & Order: Organized Crime is getting ready to reveal two more branches of Stabler’s complicated family tree.
The SVU spinoff’s upcoming Season 4 will introduce Stabler’s brothers Randall and Joe Jr., TVLine has learned exclusively.

Elliot’s mother, Bernie, is a recurring character on the show; his deceased father, a cop named Joseph, has been the subject of many of El’s stories (and a OC Season 2 storyline). But neither SVU nor OC have offered much detail about Stabler’s siblings, aside from the fact that there are five of them: three brothers and two sisters.
Here’s what we’ve heard about the two family members who’ll show up in Season 4:
Joe Jr. is the youngest brother, who spent 15-ish years in the Army before being dishonorably discharged (though he hasn’t said exactly why). He now works for a British wine merchant, doing a little of this, a little of that — and there’s something about the work that makes him ashamed to come face-to-face with Elliot, his hero.
Randall is Elliot’s older brother, who left the family when he was young and created a thriving career for himself as a real estate developer. But he and Elliot have a long-standing tension stemming from an event involving their father.
We’re also hearing both characters could be around for a significant chunk of the season, which as of now has no premiere date but is slated for midseason. When Organized Crime does return, it will be headed up by Ozark vet John Shiban — the procedural’s sixth showrunner in three years.
NBC and Wolf Entertainment, which produces OC, declined to comment on the new roles.
