Will Law & Order: SVU Season 25 Give Us the ‘Rollisi’ Domestic Bliss We Crave? Peter Scanavino Weighs In — Watch

If you haven’t gotten Law & Order: SVU‘s Rollins and Carisi a baby gift yet, better hurry up: Their son will be introduced in tonight’s Season 25 premiere (NBC, 9/8c).

Ahead of the episode, NBC released a sneak peek — set at the ‘Rollisi’ baby’s christening — that a) shows Kelli Giddish’s return as Rollins and b) lets us know Amanda and Sonny had a little boy. (You can watch the clip below.)

Giddish’s appearance in the premiere will be her second since she left the show in December 2022; she previously returned for SVU‘s Season 24 finale, which was part of a season-ending crossover between SVU and Organized Crime. Both Rollins and Giddish were pregnant during that guest stint; in June 2023, the actress and husband Beau Richards welcomed a son, Oldie. Giddish also has two sons, Ludo and Charlie, with ex-husband Lawrence Faulborn.

How often Giddish will appear as Rollins in Season 25 is not currently known. Along those lines: When TVLine got to chat with series star Peter Scanavino, aka Assistant District Attorney Dominick “Sonny” Carisi, at a celebration of the show’s longevity, we asked how often the procedural would delve into “Rollisi” home life in the coming months.

“I think it would be a tragedy if we did not see Carisi do some full-on baby parenting with diapers and the whole lot. Maybe a little stressed out because he doesn’t know where he put the wipes,” Scanavino says, chuckling, in the video above. “I don’t know. That should be the first 15 minutes of some episode.”

But as to how much we’ll actually get to go home with the newlyweds and their kids in the coming season? Press PLAY on the video at the top of the post to hear what Scanavino has to say about his character’s domestic bliss (and how often it’ll show up on screen).
