At Least 1 Killed as 'Large and Dangerous' Tornado Hits Northeastern Oklahoma

At least one person was confirmed dead as a “large and dangerous tornado” swept the northeastern region of Oklahoma late on Monday, May 6.

Footage here, captured by the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA), satellites shows the powerful supercell.

The National Weather Service said that a “large and life-threatening tornado” was spotted moving towards Bartlesville, with local reports confirming that at least one person was killed due to the weather event in Barnsdall. Credit: CSU/CIRA & NOAA via Storyful
