At Least One Dead, Scores Injured After Warehouse Explosion in Uzbek Capital
One person was killed and 162 injured after a powerful explosion and fire at a warehouse in the Uzbekistan capital of Tashkent early Thursday, September 28, local authorities said.
According to an official statement, the fire broke out at 2:43 am and the suspected cause was lightning. The deceased was a teenager who lived in an apartment near the explosion, according to the statement, and a full investigation would be carried out.
