It is crunch time in the promotion race and Leeds United will be bidding to extend their unbeaten home record to 22 matches when they go head-to-head with Blackburn Rovers tomorrow. There is no little little margin for error, with Leicester City, Ipswich Town and the Whites separated by one point.

As things stand, the Foxes sit top and are in the driving seat. A trip to relegation-haunted Plymouth Argyle tonight provides them with the perfect opportunity to put more distance between themselves and the chasing pack.

The pressure is on Daniel Farke's side to reverse their poor recent form. They have slipped to third after taking just five points from a possible 12 since the international break.

Farke has got plenty of options at his disposal should he decide to freshen things up against a Rovers team who were trounced 5-0 by Bristol City in midweek. Although the Whites recorded a welcome clean sheet at home to Sunderland, there is a possibility Farke could rejig his back four.

Connor Roberts could get the nod at right-back and free up Archie Gray to move into his preferred midfield position. The Burnley loanee has featured as a substitute in the past two matches since recovering from injury. It would be an attacking selection but United have to win to keep pace with Leicester and Ipswich in the scrap for a top-two finish.

Glenn Kamara has struggled to impose his will in the centre of late so there is a strong possibility he could be replaced in the middle of the park by Gray. Farke is likely to keep faith with Ilia Gruev, who has also not been at his best in April.

Dan James was quiet by his high standards versus Sunderland and may make way for Wilfried Gnonto on the right wing. Championship player of the season contender Crysencio Summerville is a shoo-in to line up on the left flank, with Georginio Rutter expected to be deployed in the No 10 position.

Will Farke stick or twist in attack? It is now five matches without a goal for Patrick Bamford. Farke has publicly backed Bamford to come through this sticky patch so we think he will persevere with the experienced front man.

Predicted starting XI for Blackburn Rovers: Meslier; Roberts, Rodon, Ampadu, Firpo; Gray, Gruev; Gnonto, Rutter, Summerville; Bamford.
