Leeds United play-off final tickets set for new qualifying criteria in next phase of Wembley sales

Supporters still hoping to buy tickets for Leeds United’s Championship play-off final with Southampton at Wembley must now wait until tomorrow before they get another chance. The deadline for the first two buying phases passed at noon today with an update on how many tickets are even left expected from the club this afternoon.

Tickets for the Wembley showpiece first went on sale from Saturday at 10.30am with an allocation of 35,796 available to United followers. Tens of thousands of tickets have understandably been snapped up already, but there remains a possibility some could go on sale again from 10.30am on May 22.

United released a statement on Tuesday morning which reminded qualifying supporters they needed to apply for tickets before midday. With the deadline passed, tickets are now not currently available to buy.

There is expected to be fresh qualifying criteria for the next round of sales from 10.30am on May 22, but that will be confirmed by the club later today.

A club statement said: “Leeds United will take on Southampton in the Championship play-off final on Sunday, May 26, at Wembley Stadium. We would like to remind supporters who qualified to apply for tickets in phase one (home season ticket holders, away season ticket holders and seasonal hospitality members) and phase two (members home and away tracker with nine-plus games in 2023/24) the deadline to apply online is midday today (May 21).

“Once the deadline has passed, the game will not be available online. Should any tickets remain, a further announcement will be made later this afternoon at leedsunited.com with details of how to apply, including qualifying criteria.

“Please note, should any tickets remain, they would go on sale online tomorrow (May 22) at 10.30am.”
