Leeds United (4-2-3-1)

1 Illan Meslier

Distribution was troubling all afternoon and Joe Rodon was not even hiding his dismay by the end. Either takes the wrong option or takes the right option and duffs it up. Not tested by Norwich as much as they would have hoped. 4

25 Sam Byram

Always good for nicking possession in the opposition half. Good engine all afternoon, kept asking for the ball on the overlap. Not perfect in defence. Some outstanding tackles, but beaten by slick, one-touch moves. 7

14 Joe Rodon

Back to something like his domineering best. Josh Sargent had no change out of the defender all day. Dominant in the air on defensive set-pieces too. Spread the ball around well and even got forward with a few ambitious raids of his own. 8

4 Ethan Ampadu (c)

Very calm alongside Rodon and provided a great foil. Didn't put a foot wrong. Some solid tackles. Not quite as eye-catching as Rodon, but just as defiant. 8

3 Junior Firpo

One of those afternoons you were pleased to have him in the opposition half. Really useful link man between the attackers as they built moves off the left flank. Stood up to the questions coming in the opposition direction down his side too. 7

44 Ilia Gruev

Decent afternoon from the Bulgarian, who rolled his sleeves up and battled well with a good Norwich engine room. Had to work his socks off to stick with the likes of Sara, McLean and Nunez. Not perfect, but much better protection for his defence today. 7

8 Glen Kamara

Much like Gruev, this was better from Kamara too. Leeds were far more compact and rock solid today in their defensive phase. Kamara got about and provided the legs the team needed. Got his foot in where needed and moved the team up the field. Like Firpo, was a useful link man as the attackers worked around him. 7

29 Wilfried Gnonto

Battled well and kept running, but never really got into those dangerous positions to hurt Norwich. Fairly well managed by Giannoulis. 5

22 Archie Gray

Brought the change the team needed in key central areas. Got knocked around a bit by McLean in the early exchanges, but grew into the game with confidence and quality. Pulled strings like he was at Stamford Bridge on a few occasions. Alas, he didn't have that blockbuster moment that ripped Norwich apart. 7

10 Crysencio Summerville

Some promising moments, but any looks at goal were brief and from tight angles. Carried the ball well and kept possession when Leeds were stretched. 6

24 Georginio Rutter

Another difficult afternoon for the French attacker. Ran to keep the defenders honest, but he didn't get the ball in too many good spots and when he did he couldn't do anything with it. Air kick in the opening minutes set the tone. 4

7 Joel Piroe (on for Rutter 70min)

Didn't see much of him as the play developed around him rather than through him. 5

12 Jaidon Anthony (on for Gnonto 70min)

Brought some good energy to the attack in the closing stages as Norwich tired. 6

17 Jamie Shackleton

20 Daniel James (on for Summerville 87min)

Not on for long, but loads of energy and intent from the Wales international. N/A
