Levi's Changes Name on Instagram in Playful Nod to Beyoncé's New “Cowboy Carter” Track

The singer's latest release includes a song named after the denim brand

Levi's is paying homage to Beyoncé after she gave the brand a shout-out on her new album.

On Friday, the star's second installment in her Renaissance album series, Cowboy Carter, dropped — and it includes a reference to the denim brand. In her track "Levii's Jeans," which features Post Malone, she sings: "Boy, I’ll let you be my Levi’s jeans/ So you can hug that a-- all day long."

The double "I" in the song's name is a reference to Cowboy Carter serving as Act II in the Renaissance series. Several other song titles also feature the double "I" treatment including "AMERIICAN REQUIEM," "SPAGHETTII" and even her cover of the Beatles' iconic track "BLACKBIIRD."

Shortly after the album's release, Levi's Instagram account got in on the fun. The fashion company updated its profile pictures to spell the brand's name with two "I"s and changed its bio to read: "FKA [formerly known as] Levi’s 🐝." The bee emoji, of course, is meant to signify Beyoncé's Beyhive fandom.

The denim brand also shared a post nodding to its mention on the star's album. On Friday, Levi's posted several photos of its classic jeans along with the caption: "Oh to be Levi’s jeans right now 👖🤠."

Beyoncé fans took to the comments section to share their excitement about the brand getting in on the Cowboy Carter fun.

"Levi’s in the hive >>>> 🐝🐝👑," one commenter wrote.

"Levii’s jeans is the new national anthem," another joked.

"DENIM ON DENIM!" another fan chimed in, referencing the lyrics to the new track.

Malone, 28 shared his thoughts about the track on the day of the album's release, praising the Grammy winner on Instagram on Friday.

"Thank you [Beyoncé]. Congrats this album is beautiful," he wrote on his Instagram Story, reposting the "Lemonade" singer's own Instagram post with various photos from shoots for the album.

The new album boasts a large array of guest artists, from both within and outside the country genre. Miley Cyrus is featured on "II Most Wanted," and she also took a moment on social media to thank Beyoncé for inviting her to perform on the album.

"II Most Wanted is out now on the new @Beyonce album #CowboyCarter," she captioned a post on Friday which featured the Cowboy Carter album art. "I’ve loved Beyonce since long before I had the opportunity to meet & work with her."

Cyrus, 31, continued: "My admiration runs so much deeper now that I’ve created along side of her. Thank you Beyonce. You’re everything & more. Love you. To everyone who spent time making this song so special thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, Miley."

Among the many other guests are Linda Martell, who made history in 1969 as the first Black female solo artist to play the Grand Ole Opry, and iconic country stars Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson. Nelson, 90, can be heard on "Smoke Hour Willie Nelson" and "Smoke Hour II," and Parton, 78, is featured on Beyoncé's cover of her classic track "Jolene."
