Lewis Capaldi has taken his ongoing feud with Noel Gallagher to the next level by kissing the Oasis star’s daughter.

The Scottish singer and the Mancunian rocker have been trading barbs for weeks, after Gallagher claimed that he hadn’t even heard of chart-topper Capaldi.

But it looks like Capaldi might have the last laugh, as Gallagher’s daughter Anais has shared a snap of him kissing her cheek.

The image, shared on Instagram, shows the pair sat together as Capaldi plants a smacker on the 19-year-old’s face.

Capaldi and Gallagher have been embroiled in their row since earlier this year, when Gallagher questioned who Capaldi was as he had a moan about the state of modern music.

Gallagher, 52, also compared Capaldi to Chewbacca from Star Wars and had a pop at his native Scotland, likening it to “a third world country”.

Undeterred, Capaldi used his appearance at Glastonbury Festival to poke fun at the row, stepping out on stage in a top featuring Gallagher’s face inside a heart.

He was also pictured with Gallagher’s brother Liam (who Gallagher has been feuding with for years) in another apparent dig, and donned a Wookiee mask to perform at the TRNSMT festival.

He had more fun with the spat at Barn On The Farm festival in July.

As he encouraged the crowd to sing along with his rendition of Don’t Look Back in Anger, the 22-year-old shouted: “This is for my dad, Noel Gallagher!”

He later teased that the singers’ spat was actually more of a “lovers’ tiff” than a full-on feud.

Gallagher had Anais with his ex-wife Meg Mathews.

The former Oasis star is now married to Sara MacDonald and they have two sons.
