Lewis Capaldi made a discreet comeback to Glastonbury one year after his emotional breakdown on stage. The artist was seen mingling with celebrities such as Noel Gallagher and Cara Delevingne - as well as watching Keane perform on the Pyramid Stage.

His reappearance follows a challenging performance on the Pyramid Stage last year, after which he announced a hiatus from live shows. Glastonbury attendees rallied around Capaldi, helping him complete his songs as he coped with Tourette's syndrome. He battled through losing his voice and managing his tics during his main stage appearance, while fans kept up chants of "oh Lewis Capaldi" throughout his set.

On stage, he shared with the audience: "I recently took three weeks off just because I've been non stop the past year and I wanted to take a wee break from my head for my mental health. I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it's obviously so incredible so I just want to thank you all for coming out. I was scared but you've really made me feel at ease so thank you very much for that."

Capaldi also mentioned: "I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks so you probably won't see much of me for the rest of the year maybe even. But when I do come back, when I do see you, I hope you're all still up for watching.", reports the Mirror.

Over the weekend, an onlooker shared with The Sun: "Lewis looked so happy. He was saying how pleased he was to be back at Worthy Farm and that he was going out to see some acts over the weekend. Given how hard his last visit to Worthy Farm was, it was so nice seeing him back here."

Another told SomersetLive that while watching Keane on the Pyramid Stage, they managed to get a selfie with the Scottish musical star.

Albeit being on indefinite hiatus, Lewis has dropped hints about a remarkable music comeback. Recently, he spent some time working in his home studio alongside British singer-songwriter Dan D'Lion, indicating possible steps back onto the music scene.

An insider revealed: "There are no plans to return anytime soon but it's promising that he is back jamming with his mates and thinking about music. It looked touch and go whether he would want to, or be able, to return at one point. So things are really looking up."
