Lewisham North General Election 2024 results

Labour has held the constituency of Lewisham North in the 2024 General Election. The elected candidate Vicky Foxcroft won by a majority of 15,782 votes.

Ms. Foxcroft secured 25,467 votes in the poll, ahead of the Green party candidate Adam Pugh in second place, who received 9,685 votes.

Residents in Lewisham North went to the polls on Thursday 4th July to choose the candidate who will serve as their MP in the next Parliament.

Counting of the General Election votes began after polls closed at 10pm on Thursday night, and the result in Lewisham North was published by the Press Association at 02:46 am on Friday

A total of 74,204 people were eligible to vote in Lewisham North, and of these 44,167 decided to complete a ballot paper, which meant the turnout in the constituency was 59.5 per cent.

The turnout figure in Lewisham North was down compared to the last general election in 2019, when 68.8 per cent of the electorate used their vote.

Vicky Foxcroft (Labour) - 25,467 votes (57.7%).

Adam Pugh (Green party) - 9,685 votes (21.9%).

Jean Branch (Liberal Democrats) - 3,284 votes (7.4%).

Nupur Majumdar (Conservatives) - 2,701 votes (6.1%).

Edward Powell (Reform) - 2,000 votes (4.5%).

Mian Akbar (WPB) - 457 votes (1.0%).

Julia Tilford (Independents) - 243 votes (0.6%).

Oliver Snelling (Comm Brit) - 211 votes (0.5%).

John Lloyd (Green Soc) - 119 votes (0.3%).

Most UK constituencies have changed boundaries or names since the last General Election but analysis of previous results based on the 2024 boundaries for Lewisham North shows that Labour won 9,657 fewer votes than in 2019.

At the 2019 General Election Labour won 69.4 per cent of the votes cast, and in the 2024 election the party's vote share decreased to 57.7 per cent.

The Green party had a vote share of per cent in 2019 and this rose to a 21.9 per cent vote share in 2024.
