Former Oasis frontman, Liam Gallagher, has revealed whether he is set to descend on Darwen to sport an exhibition.

Decade - 10 Years of Adidas SPZL is taking place on Market Street from now until May 26.

The exhibition will feature the Adidas footwear archive and highlights from the last 10 years of apparel collections.

In the past, Liam has collaborated with the curator of the Adidas SPZL range Gary Aspden, to launch new trainer designs. In 2018, he even hosted a gig in Blackburn’s King George’s Hall to promote the new trainers and raise funds for Blackburn charity Nightsafe.

A member of the public has asked Liam if he has plans to attend the Darwen exhibition.

His response has left some people in stitches.

Liam said: “No I’m not, as I am in ‘monk mode’. Gary is a saucepot who loves to party”.

Gary has since responded to the tweet writing: “Saucepot!?”

One fan said: “I think he's saying you'll lead him astray.”

Another said: “Amazing”.

A third commenter said: “That’s some high praise”.

While Liam might not be descending on Darwen, other high-profile celebrities have already made an appearance.

Shaun Ryder, known as a vocalist for the Happy Mondays, and his band Black Grape performed at  Level One nightclub, on Market Street, on May 17.

There was also a DJ set, featuring Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield from The Stone Roses and Primal Scream.

One half of The Pet Shop Boys, Chris Lowe, also visited the exhibition last week.

Posting to Instagram he said: “Spent a lovely afternoon with Gary Aspden at his exhibition in Darwen, Lancashire, yesterday [May 18].
