Lichfield General Election results for 2024

Michael Fabricant has lost the battle as Dave Robertson has won the Lichfield seat for Labour in the 2024 general election with 17,232 votes. The victory in a safe Tory seat will add to the shockwaves as the electoral map turns red.

The Conservatives came second with 16,422 votes in a crushing blow. It means Robertson, and Labour, has a majority of 810.

Lichfield is one of the Midlands' true blue seats. Michael Fabricant had been the Conservative MP for Lichfield since 1997 and won with a significant majority in 2019.

In fact, since the constituency was created in its current guise in 1997, Mr Fabricant has been its only ever MP. He was voted in for the first time in 1997 despite Labour winning by a landslide nationally.

Turnout: 64.5%
