Lightning Flashes as Storm Hits Temple, Texas

A powerful storm that hit central Texas on May 22 caused “extensive” damage to homes and structures in Temple, according to local media reports.

The National Weather Service had warned the region to brace for 80 mph winds and up to ping-pong-ball-sized hail as the storm moved through on Wednesday.

According to local reports, the town of Temple suffered damage to homes, downed power lines, and fallen trees.
