Lights of Dubai Reflected in Floodwater in Nighttime Scene

Parts of Dubai were inundated with several inches of floodwater on the evening of Tuesday, April 16, after severe storms hit the United Arab Emirates.

Footage filmed by X user @HafizTuheed85 from his home in Sharjah shows the extent of the flooding, with several vehicles partially submerged in the standing water.

On the same day, authorities in the UAE issued a stay-at-home advisory.

The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) stressed “the necessity of staying at home and following safety instructions during the weather conditions."
