Lil Durk's son, 10, accused of shooting stepfather - report

The 10-year-old-son of rapper Lil Durk allegedly shot his stepfather during a domestic dispute with the youngster's mother.

Surveillance cameras captured the moment the child allegedly grabbed the weapon from his stepdad, Joshua Pippens, and then aimed the gun at him before firing.

Pippens can then be seen falling to the ground.

The shooting incident occurred on July 1, since which time Pippens has spoken out from his hospital bed.

"As y'all can see I was not the aggressor," he shared on social media.

"And y'all also can see how I still had my gun on my hip. He grabbed my gun off my hip following his mom's lead and tried to shoot me and then actually shot me."

Pippens suggested that the argument may have been about custody arrangements over a child the couple share.

"I never in a million years thought a kid I bought 4 wheelers and paid for football leagues and everything would do this but he only knows what mom shows him," Pippens said.

"I still love him like he's mine."

Chicago rapper Lil Durk, who has between seven and 10 children according to various reports, has so far not commented on the incident.

The Laugh Now Cry Later singer took to social media on June 17 to share a Father's Day photo of himself posing with 10 children.
