The first winners of Ant and Dec's new gameshow Limitless Win have revealed they are donating 10 per cent of their £500k jackpot to charity.

Husband and wife Kathryn and Will - who both work for the NHS as a midwife and intensive care doctor - scooped themselves half a million on the first episode of the new ITV show - and plan to give £50k away to help mental health charities and cancer research.

Will, 29, told ITV's Lorraine: "We’ve always given away 10 percent of our salary to charity, so this isn’t going to be any different.

“We’re going to give away at least £50,000 to charities close to our hearts - mental health charities, leukaemia research charities.

“After that we’ll take our family on holiday, buy that campervan we’ve always wanted and buy a house as well.”

Kathryn said the experience had been “unbelievable”.

She added: “We’ve never been in a studio, with all the lights and Ant and Dec. It was surreal."

The pair gambled £100k to answer their final question on the quiz show which has a jackpot that can go on indefinitely as long as questions are being answered correctly.

They correctly answered the question "July 2022 will mark how many years since Jeff Bezos founded Amazon?"

Will said he knew the answer - 28 years - because his sister was born in the same year, 1994.

The couple plan to use some of the money to enjoy a holiday but will continue to work in their NHS jobs.

Ant and Dec confessed they were worried the new show might bankrupt ITV as the jackpot could become so big.

Ant McPartlin revealed: "We had sleepless nights beforehand and we thought, 'Are we gonna bankrupt ITV'? Because there is no limit on what you can win.

"ITV boss Kevin Lygo was sweating when we pitched it. Then we had contestants playing and you’re like, ‘How high will they get? £5million in one go?’. The answer was, ‘Yes’. They were braver than I thought."
