Limp Bizkit fans were stunned after Fred Durst shared a photo of him looking unrecognisable.

The rapper, 50, showed off his dramatic transformation on Instagram.

Durst looks completely different in the snap, with his trademark goatee replaced by a well-groomed handlebar moustache and longish, wavy, greying hair instead of a baseball cap.

The star’s usual baggy t-shirt was nowhere in sight, and he was instead clad in a pale orange shirt.

Durst deleted all the other pictures on his page and captioned the new shot: “Thinking about you 70.”

His Instagram profile was also updated and now says: “You’re confused? Classic.”

The musician’s fans were shocked by his new look and many posted messages on social media saying that Durst now resembles some other celebrities.

“I thought Richard Gere popped up from outta nowhere,” posted one person, while another thought Durst looked a bit like comedian David Spade.

“Anyone else see a little bit of a Bon Jovi resemblance?” asked another.

“I actually thought it was Richard Branson at first,” one joked.

However, there was also plenty of love for Durst’s rebrand.

Several people said he was “looking great” and a couple said the star was now a “silver fox”.

“That 'stache looks sharp,” said another.
