Lincoln Castle concerts prohibited items including chairs, food and large bags

Three concert weekends are coming to Lincoln Castle this June with some big names taking to the stage. Australasian rock band Crowded House are performing on Saturday, June 15, followed by British female solo artist Jess Glynne on Sunday, June 16.

Paloma Faith then takes to the stage on Saturday, June 22, followed by the final weekend which will see Kaiser Chiefs perform on Friday, June 28, Madness on June 29 and Gregory Porter on June 30. Gates open at 6pm for all performances, with expected finish times of around 10.30pm.

Thousands are expected to attend the events over the next few weeks. As with any large event, there are a number of items that people are not allowed to bring into the venue.

  • Bags over A4 in size

  • Selfie sticks

  • Pro cameras

  • Cans

  • Drugs

  • Helmets

  • Air horns

  • Lasers

  • Animals (except guide dogs)

  • Glass bottles

  • Spray cans

  • Flags

  • Umbrellas

  • Chairs

  • Flares or fireworks

  • Toxic substances

  • Weapons (including replicas)

  • Perfumes

  • Food and drink (except 500ml max bottle of water)

  • Explosives, signalling devices, smoking devices and very-lights

  • Medicines without a prescription or justification

  • Skateboards and other personal motorised and non-motorised vehicles

  • Knives, syringes and scalpels
