Lindsay Lohan was paid $500,000 for her cameo in the new "Mean Girls" movie.
She worked half of a day, according to Variety.
The movie was No. 1 at the box office over the weekend, earning $33 million.
Lindsay Lohan earned a nice chunk of change for her cameo in the new "Mean Girls" movie.
Lohan, who played Cady Heron in the iconic 2004 movie, appeared briefly as a math competition moderator in the new musical remake. She was paid "about $500,000" for half a day's work, Variety reported.
Paramount, which released the movie, declined to comment, and Lohan's representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
The movie stars Angourie Rice as Cady and Reneé Rapp as Regina George. Tim Meadows and Tina Fey reprised their roles from the original movie, and Fey once again wrote the screenplay.
"Mean Girls" took the top spot at the domestic box office over the weekend with earnings over $33 million.
In a review of the movie, Business Insider's Olivia Singh said this version of the classic "largely treads familiar territory but updates aspects of the story for a modern audience."
