These Lion, Tiger And Bear Animal ‘Brothers’ Have Stuck Together For 15 Years

These three animals are not the likeliest group to form a bond but they haven’t left each other’s sides in 15 years.

Leo the African lion lives at the Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter (NAAS) in Atlanta, Georgia, alongside Baloo the American black bear and Shere Khan the Bengal tiger.

And they do everything together - playing and eating during the day and cuddling up to sleep at night.

Brothers: Police found the animals living in a basement (Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary)

The trio were all rescued by the shelter when they were less than a year old after they were found in a basement by police who were carrying out a drugs raid in 2001.

All three were scared and malnourished and suffered wounds and infections across their bodies.

Baloo had to undergo surgery to remove an embedded harness from his body - the only time the cubs had been separated, leaving the remaining two distraught.

But after they were reunited, the threesome’s bond only grew and they soon became happy and healthy at the sanctuary.

Happy: They will spend the rest of the days at the sanctuary (Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary)

Noah’s Ark curator Allison Hedgecoth, told The Dodo: “All three are still equally affectionate with one another.”

NAAS has kept them at the sanctuary as their injuries were too severe for them to be rehabilitated and sent back to the wile.

But they provide comfort to each other and they will spend the rest of their days together at their home.
