The Princess of Wales, Kate, gave her children a Royal command as she made a graceful return to the public eye at Saturday's Trooping the Colour.

Radiating joy, 42-year-old Kate was spotted waving enthusiastically to the massive gathering while she and her three childrenPrince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis took a carriage ride from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade to witness the grand military event.

Adorned in an exquisite white dress with navy trim by designer Jenny Packham, topped off with a chic wide-brimmed hat by Philip Treacy and sporting an elegant Irish Guards brooch, Kate looked every inch the Royal. Upon their arrival at Horse Guards, Kate, alongside her children, observed the parade from a building with a prime view of the grounds.

The family of four were seen peering out of the window, and at one point, according to lip reader Nicola Hickling, Kate seemed to give the young royals some guidance. Reportedly, she instructed: "You stay there, OK? " and after leaning down towards Charlotte, she added: "Keep smiling and stay here for one moment."

Kate appeared to have her hands full, especially with the youngest, Louis, who became momentarily sidetracked during the balcony ceremony. The mischievous tot was seen tugging at the blind cords while his mother, Kate, stayed vigilant by his side, keeping a watchful eye on him, reports the Mirror.

True to form, rather than gazing out at the crowd, he amusingly fiddled with the white cord by the window.

And shortly after, young Prince Louis was spotted yawning expansively while observing the parade from a window in the Duke of Wellington's former office. The little Royal tilted his head back, hands clasped behind him, as he let out a sizeable yawn, all while Princess Charlotte watched the proceedings with decorum.

Yet, showing resilience against sleepiness, he energetically danced through the event.

Earlier, onlookers cheered as Princess Kate greeted them with a wave from the glass coach following the carriage that bore King Charles and Queen Camilla, who were both elegantly attired in Philip Treacy and Anna Valentine respectively, en route to Horse Guards Parade. Joining the procession in other carriages were the Duchess of Edinburgh, Lady Louise Windsor, and the Duke of Kent, while Prince William, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward rode on horseback.

The Palace confirmed yesterday that Princess Kate would be present at the festivities honouring the King's official birthday alongside her family.

In a heartfelt note, Princess Kate shared that she experiences "good days and bad days" during her ongoing preventative chemotherapy treatment. Accompanying her words was a stunning new portrait by renowned celebrity and Royal photographer Matt Porteous.

The Princess expressed her aspiration to participate in select public events throughout the summer as she undergoes cancer treatment "for a few months". It is believed that Kate's involvement in Trooping the Colour was a gesture of solidarity with her children, her family, and her affection for the King, who is also undergoing treatment for cancer.

During today's ceremonial splendour, the troops first paraded the colour through their ranks before marching past the King, saluting with an "eyes right" command in both slow and quick march.

Marking a historic moment, for the first time in over a century, bearded soldiers were seen on parade, following a rule change sanctioned by the King earlier this year, which now permits facial hair across the Army beyond the previous allowances for religious, medical, or role-specific reasons.
