"Baby is beautiful, Mummy's a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad's a mess!" Lisa, head make-up artist on BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing, headed off on a break to Portugal amid the news and last night, a source said: “This is not an easy time for Lisa.

"The holiday was planned, not because Ant had a baby, but because of the anniversary of her dad’s death. She and Ant tried to have children but it wasn’t to be, so they got Hurley, their chocolate brown Labrador. He’s her baby now.

"She’s moved on from Ant.” After the birth of their son Wilder, comic Leigh Franci: “Good luck to Ant. Don’t have them past 40. I’ve got a 15-year-old and a 12-year-old. But Ant is creeping up to 50. Why is it hard work after 40? Well, you are always knackered.”

A source has told The Sun that Lisa felt "betrayed" by Ant's announcement of the birth and that has strengthened her resolve to keep Hurley. They said: "She felt very betrayed by both Ant and Anne-Marie and felt that none of this has been handled sensitively, especially the announcement of the baby. The one thing that has got her through it and been by her side constantly is Hurley – she doesn't know what she would do without him. He's more than just a dog to her and has been a lifeline at times."
