Emmerdale star Lisa Riley’s phenomenal transformation is one of the slimming stories of the year, but during an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women she admitted that she’s still not happy despite shedding an incredible 10 stones.

The 40-year-old star told the panel that extreme weight loss has left her with an abundance of excess skin. She’s also struggling to come to terms with facing her new body shape in the mirror.

“I’ve got severe excess skin. Say a lady’s had three kids. I’ve got that much… The scar will go from hip to hip and down my front,” she said.

“The skin is going to be pulled all the way. It’s the reflection I’m still struggling with. I saw a picture of Tina Malone in the bra and panties – and mine’s much worse than hers.”

The former You’ve Been Framed presenter is set to go under the knife to remove the excess skin. “It’s like the Grand National. Maybe that’s my finish line – when I have the surgery.”

However, despite stuggling to come to terms with her new body shape, Lisa revealed she’s still overjoyed with her incredible weight loss. “I’m approaching 11 stone,” she said. “That weepy moment, I had it two weeks ago.”

So what’s her secret? Well, uhm, it’s all about eating less food! Now why didn’t we think of that.

“I have smaller portions now. I don’t believe in fad diets, even though I have tried them before. I have no food after 6.30pm,” Lisa explained. “Am I going to go back to eating a bowl of pasta and garlic bread for my dinner? Probably not. I don’t go for the crisps now, I’m driving my friends mental not drinking.”

“Everything’s a milestone and I’m going through it daily. I never in a million years thought I’d be sat here in this dress. I’m not going to go back to my old ways. I feel like I’ve got the body I deserve, without my stomach clapping every time I go up the stairs!”

While she’s understandably chuffed with her transformation, Lisa reckons some people aren’t so thrilled with her new look. “Some people want me to fail, they say – don’t, you won’t be the same person. You look ill!”

You look pretty good to us, Lisa!
