Steps star Lisa Scott Lee has said touring with Britney Spears might have been one of the group's highlights - but it caused a row over jealousy about H flying on her private jet.

The 90s pop group supported Spears on tour during the height of their fame, living an incredible showbiz lifestyle that involved nights out with the US superstar and her then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

However, she laughed that it was "still a sore subject" that co-star Ian "H" Watkins got to travel in luxury with spears on her private jet, while the rest of the group slept on the tour bus.

Speaking to Metro about their gruelling schedule, she said that bad sleeper H had found it impossible to cope with living on a tour bus - so Spears came to his rescue.

Scott Lee, 46, said: "We would do a show. We would have a few drinks with Britney and Justin because she was dating him at the time and then we’d get back on the tour bus and we drive through the night sometimes to another stage.

"We were doing miles and miles and then we get up and go on stage again so it was quite gruelling.

"H isn’t the best sleeper so because of that he ended up traveling on her private jet, as you do, but we were very jealous miffed and it’s still a sore subject!"

Steps spent three months travelling across America and Canada with Spears, which Scott Lee says was one of their greatest highlights, but it was a very different experience for H than his co-stars who did not travel in luxury.

Luckily, the group managed to put any jealousy aside and are still performing together, as well as having just released greatest hits album 'The Platinum Collection'.

Steps performed together from 1997 until 2001, taking a decade-long break before they reformed in 2011 and then again in 2017.
