Kevin Simm's Liberty X days are well and truly behind him as he previews his new guitar-led sound after winning The Voice UK earlier this year.

The star has teamed up with One Direction songwriter Ed Drewett for his new single 'Wildfire', which is a rousing, soulful number that's available to stream now.

It's the first track to be lifted from his forthcoming debut solo album Recover (a bit of an improvement on his original album title pitch of You Can Teach An Old Dog New Tricks), which will be released through Universal Music on October 28.

Kevin has worked on the 10 track collection with producer Matty Benbrook, as well as songwriters Jim Duguid (Paolo Nutini), Pauline Taylor (Dido), Starsailor frontman James Walsh and Ed Drewett (One Direction, Olly Murs and Craig David).

The full tracklist is as follows:

  1. 'Wildfire'

  2. 'Recover'

  3. 'Trains'

  4. 'Easier'

  5. 'Good News'

  6. 'Strangers'

  7. 'It's You'

  8. 'Beautiful'

  9. 'Conquer'

  10. 'Colours'

Kevin's comeback on The Voice UK earlier this year was a resounding success after he stunned the audience with his own take on Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' and Sia's 'Chandelier'.

His performance of 'Chandelier' during the blind audition stages has now had a massive 5 million views on The Voice UK's official YouTube page, opening up the singer to a whole new generation.

With his new album on the horizon, it seems Kevin is well and truly ready to give us just a little bit more. Sorry - we couldn't resist that one.
