Pop sensations Little Mix were staunchly defended by their fanbase tonight (February 20) following their awards snub in the Brits' 'Best British Group' category.

The girls were up against some heavy hitters though – including rock band Arctic Monkeys and eventual winners The 1975.

But it seems like Little Mix's legion of followers grows with every day that passes, and their voices were heard loud and clear as they shared their support for the girlband on social media.

The reactions continued to flow, with more fans writing: "How the hell did @LittleMix not win best British group at the @BRITs ....", "The 1975 are glorious, but Little Mix have really deserved Best British Group for 4 years running now #BRITs" and "WTF WHY DID LITTLE MIX NOT WIN THIS? ARE THEY KIDDING ME right now?? #BRITs".

Even if the girls didn't manage to take that particular statue home, they still nabbed 'Music Video of the Year' for 'Woman Like Me'.

Earlier on in the show, Little Mix also performed on stage in something of a steamy fashion, and as you'd imagine, host and comedian Jack Whitehall had a few things to say about it.
