Israel has expressed its reservations about a Hamas proposal for a hostage-release deal and withdrawn its delegation from talks in Cairo, an Israeli official said Thursday, adding that military operations in Rafah will proceed as planned. US President Joe Biden has vowed to withhold weapons from Israel if its forces launch a major invasion of the southern Gaza city where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have sought refuge.
