Liverpool are yet to complete their first signing under Arne Slot this summer.

The Reds came close to signing Anthony Gordon after holding talks with Newcastle United but a potential deal collapsed after the Magpies asked for Jarell Quansah in return. Rumours continue to swirl around who the club may now turn their attention to.

Work is continuing behind the scenes with sporting director Richard Hughes working closely with Slot to get the team ready for the new season. Liverpool will soon jet off to the United States for their pre-season tour where they will face fellow Premier League sides Arsenal and Manchester United.

With that said, the ECHO has taken a look at the latest pieces of speculation on the Reds rumour mill.

Liverpool have reportedly enquired over Crysencio Summerville's availability. The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Merseyside as he looks likely to depart Leeds United following their play-off final heartache at the end of the season.

There is plenty of speculation over his future with a number of Premier League clubs said to be interested in his services. Now a report in De Telegraaf has claimed that the Reds and Chelsea have 'enquired about the situation' of the player.

Paris Saint-Germain are also mentioned in the report as potential suitors while Fulham are claimed to hold a 'concrete' interest.

Elsewhere, Luis Diaz's potential move could open the door for Nico Williams' arrival at Anfield, it has been claimed. Liverpool could be set to move on to another winger after missing out on Gordon.

According to reports in Spain (via Football365), Liverpool would be prepared to pay Williams' 'full release clause' amid interest from Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea. It is thought that a fee between £43m and £49m would be enough to activate the clause.

They add that the 21-year-old is said to be seen as the ideal replacement to Diaz if a sale is confirmed, with Barcelona keeping tabs on the Colombian. However, Williams' wage demands could potentially be a stumbling block as the winger is claimed to be 'asking' for £300,000-a-week.
