Liverpool FC legend Jamie Carragher sets record straight after followers baffled by 'nonsense' update

Jamie Carragher has issued a clarification message after his X platform was hacked.

The Liverpool FC legend regularly posts on the the social media platform formerly known as Twitter and has built up over 2.2m followers. The 46-year-old's followers were baffled tonight after a series of bizarre updates were posted from Carragher's account.

The Sky Sports pundit has taken to Instagram to reveal his account has been hacked. He said: "Twitter been hacked so there might be more nonsense on there than usual."

The last post from the former centre half is a repost promoting the latest episode from his hit podcast, Stick To Football. Carragher is joined on the podcast with fellow pundits, Ian Wright, Gary Neville, Jill Scott and Roy Keane.

Keane is in the interview seat for the latest episode as the former Manchester United captain shared stories from his career. The synopsis added: "[Keane] dives into his relationship with Brian Clough at Nottingham Forest and reveals the inside story behind his move to Manchester United, including the dramatic twist that nearly saw him join Kenny Dalglish’s Blackburn Rovers."
