Liverpool FC star Alexis Mac Allister was emotional after a special family announcement.

The 25-year-old is currently away on international duty as Argentina aim to win the Copa America. Mac Allister hails from a talented football family as his two brothers, Francis and Kevin, have also forged successful playing careers.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion player faced up against his brother, Kevin, when the Reds took on Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League. It has been a special day for their eldest brother, Francis, as he returned to the club with their three players started their careers.

Francis has re-joined Argentinos Juniors from Rosario Central. The Buenos Aires side announced the news on Instagram as a snap was shared of him signing a contract. A translation of the post said: "Mac Allister is home."

The Liverpool midfielder re-shared the post with a tearful and heart emoji.

Alexis Mac Allister played 56 times for Argentinos Juniors before he made the move to Brighton in 2019. The World Cup winner will return to action on Friday when Argentina take on Ecuador in the Copa America quarter final.
