Liverpool are thought to be just one of several Premier League clubs monitoring Spain star Dani Olmo amid his dazzling form at Euro 2024.

The 26-year-old has been a standout performer for Spain so far in Germany with Luis de la Fuente's side set to take on England in Sunday's final. Olmo has a £50million release clause in his contract with RB Leipzig which means negotiations can start should a club wish to push on with a transfer.

The clause had been due to expire on Monday but has now reportedly been extended to July 20 - six days after Olmo's Spain face England in the Euro 2024 final.

Premier League and La Liga clubs have made their interest known to his representatives and know that failing to act quickly could add an extra £20m to the Spaniard's price tag. Arne Slot's side is yet to make a signing this summer and could look to push on in striking a deal.

According to The Mirror, clubs are said to be 'loitering' with the RB Leipzig star most recently smashing home during his nation's 2-1 win over France. Olmo netted eight goals and registered five assists in Germany last season and is a by-product of the famous La Masia Barcelona academy system.

The report further states that Liverpool are also 'unlikely' to move for the forward, contrary to reports in Spain. Olmo penned a new long-term contract with Leipzig until the summer of 2027 recently, meaning the Bundesliga outfit could also increase the price once the release clause has expired.

"I am calm and focused on what is coming, which is the Euro, which is no small thing," he said in a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo. "It is clear that it is good to see your name related to great teams in Europe and the world, that motivates me, but I am focused on the Euro and I hope we can return with the trophy.

"Then we'll see. It's nice to see your name related to the greats, but I insist, it's nothing that bothers me. I am focused on the field and then whatever has to be, will be."
