Final year students at Liverpool Hope University are preparing to graduate.

The University has two dedicated teaching campuses, located in Everton and Childwall, alongside a residential campus in Aigburth. After a tough few years studying, many attendees at the university will be excited to complete their courses and officially graduate.

Graduation ceremonies offer the chance to formally recognise the completion of your degree and celebrate the achievement with family and friends. Here is everything Liverpool Hope students need to know ahead of theirs.

Dates

Graduation ceremonies will take place from July 23 to July 25. Ahead of this, if you want to go to the ceremony, you must have confirmed your attendance with the university.

Otherwise, you can receive your degree without attending graduation or defer receiving your degree until a graduation ceremony next year. You must have ordered your gown before the ceremony and you will not be able to graduate without the correct gown.

Location and times

All graduation ceremonies for Liverpool Hope will take place at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral on St James Mount, off Hope Street in Liverpool city centre.

Ceremonies will commence at 3pm and last about one hour and a half. Graduates have been told they must make sure to give themselves time to travel to the cathedral and be taken to your seated area promptly before the start of the ceremony.

Last entrance to the cathedral for each ceremony is 20 minutes before the start time. Gowns must be returned to Hope Park Sports by 7.00pm, or left at the cathedral.

What you should do on the day

On each day, upcoming graduates should make their way to the Hope Park Sport Centre in Childwall from 8.30am onwards. At the sports centre, you can collect your tickets, wristband, robes and photography. Our Place, Starbucks and the Food Court will be open for breakfast and lunch.

At 11.30am, you should make your way to the Library Quad for the official hat throw and photograph, which will take place 10 minutes later. After that, you can make your way to the ceremony.
