Liverpool are already being linked with several potential new signings ahead of the summer transfer window.

This summer is expected to see Arne Slot oversee his first transfer window as Liverpool manager. Slot is expected to succeed Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout, and already rumours are beginning to swirl about what transfer business the club may conduct.

The Reds have just one more fixture left to play in the Klopp era, which comes this Sunday at home to Wolves in the Premier League. After that, the Slot era is expected to begin following the official announcement, and from that point, attention will soon turn to what new signings Slot will make at Anfield.

Reports in the last 24 hours have linked Liverpool with a move for a new midfielder and a new goalkeeper.

According to reports in Italy, Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners remains a player of interest to Liverpool. Tuttosport have claimed that the Serie A club have named their asking price for Koopeiners this summer.

It has been stated that Atalanta would demand a fee in the region of €60 million to €70 million (£51.5m-£60m) in order to consider letting Koopmeiners leave the club this summer. Koopmeiners has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in recent months, with the rumours first emerging in 2021 when he was at AZ Alkmaar working under Slot before he joined Atalanta.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy. According to the Daily Mail, the Reds are among several clubs looking at signing the veteran stopper this term.

It has been claimed that Liverpool will face competition from Celtic and Newcastle for the signing of McCarthy this summer. The 34-year-old's contract with Southampton is set to expire this summer, which is leading to interest from several clubs in signing him as a free agent.

Liverpool may be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, which is leading to the potential interest in McCarthy. Adrian looks increasingly likely to leave when his contract expires this summer, while CaoimhIn Kelleher has been linked with a move away from Anfield in search of more regular football.
